April
I spent Saturday morning at St Ursula's in Yeppoon with a group of woman making costumes.
Thankfully I didn't have to sew!
For the first hour this other lady Sally & her daughter Maxine & I painted the 'moth' wings painstakingly by hand, then Sally ingeniously suggested we spraypaint the background first then decorate it...what a learning curb, cut the time down considerably!
And don't they look fantastic!!!
The other ladies were in there at the Sewing Machines making the 'moth' & 'praying mantis' costumes.
All in all a good 4 hours well spent. :)

We had our 1st workshop for everyone volunteering their time at the festival who are guiding people in the art of making baskets, bangles, wreaths etc.. from vine. Usually the best vine is a weed vine so we're able to do 2 useful things at the one time.
